Breastfeeding is best for both mums and babies.

For babies

Some of the benefits for breastfeeding include:

  • Breastfeeding is the very best nutrition for babies as it strengthens the baby's immune system and will protect them from illnesses (such as ear infections, stomach upsets), diabetes, eczema and obesity.
  • Breastmilk contains antibodies/immunoglobulins (IGA & IGM) which provide passive immunity for the baby.
  • Breastmilk contains lactoferrin- a protein which binds iron and aids its absorption.
  • Breastmilk is delivered in the perfect form and at correct temperature for infants.
  • Breastfeeding strengthens the unique bond between mother and baby.

For Mothers

Some of the breastfeeding benefits include:

  • Reduced risk of breast & ovarian cancer, osteoporosis
  • Faster return to pre-pregnancy figure
